Generic roles and responsibilities for Recruiter

A Recruiter is an important stakeholder in the overall growth of the company as he/she becomes the face of the organization in the eyes of potential employee. This position is  responsible for helping a company hire ideal candidates for open positions.

The roles and responsibilities of a recruiter include but not limited to 

  • Understanding the hiring requirements of various departments and hiring managers
  • Sourcing, Screening and Attracting potential candidates through various channels like social media and professional networks.
  • Reviewing resumes and screening candidates
  • Scheduling interviews by coordinating with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Negotiating job offers and compensation packages with candidates.
  • Maintaining Database of the Potential candidates
  • Keep improving network to ensure quick closure of positions.
  • Maintain the records and usage of applicant tracking systems.
  • Staying updated about hiring trends and best practices.

In addition to this, the recruiter may be involved up to induction of the potential employee. 

Requirements

  • MBA in Human Resources
  • Knowledge or Applicant Tracking systems.
  • Good Knowledge in Sourcing, Screening of the candidates
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Working knowledge on various Job Portals
